Welcome to the Dice Bowl!

Welcome to the Dice Bowl!

If you're reading this, you're either really early to joining the Fried Dice community, or you've invested time to scroll through all the blog posts that are coming after this. Either way, I appreciate you.

Thank You

We've been running TTRPGs for almost a decade at this point, and we've reached a point where it just makes sense that we could make a website like this to showcase what we have. From learning D&D in university to running house games, to forming this community, none of this would be possible without you.

What's next?

You might have seen the various tabs, and the digital products of homebrew stuff. Lots of "coming soons" are here. The standard stuff we've been pushing is still on the pipeline:

  • New TTRPG or Module releases every month (usually announced within the first week of every month)
  • West Marches: Dungeon of the Mad Mage will be scheduled, and polls sent out twice a month for availabilities.
    • New "temporary" dungeons are unlocked as we travel deeper into the dungeon. The first of which is White Plume Mountain. These are tougher dungeons, with better rewards. Once these dungeons are cleared, they are closed indefinitely (unless a new mad mage takes over...)
  • Ramping up online games on startplaying.com
    • I've been blessed enough to have ran some learn to plays online, and mothership a few times on the platform
    • Started one D&D campaign and it's looking good!
    • If you have friends overseas who can't seem to get their fix, please do let me know!
  • More homebrew is on the way
    • You might've seen the aswang bloodhunter subclass and the mole totem barbarian sub-subclass. A re-vamped and updated 2024 version of these is in the works.
    • Mauna, the Eat the Reich character is something I truly enjoyed making. Please play Eat the Reich more. Thank you.
  • On top of homebrew classes and player options, I wanna give something to the fellow game masters and create:
    • TTRPGs of my own (I've got 2 or 3 in the pipeline, might create a playtest section on the website)
    • D&D one-shots, starting with Goblinfinity Fingers (a mini-campaign that can stretch into an Epic), and written versions of my Learn to Play made to help brand new GMs get started.

Writing blogs are a new format to me, so please do let me know what you'd like to read about. Some topics I'm thinking about are the state of TTRPGs in Singapore or globally, running games physically versus running games online, general DM tips (or more like collating all the tips on a topic) and systems I've been exploring lists (like games by Southeast Asian writers, or Superhero games, or WEIRD games). Again, tell me what you'd find useful!

Overall, new year is coming, and new things are coming in 2026. I'm always open to chatting about things you wish we could do more of and of course in true Stars and Wishes fashion, talking about the things we've loved in our games. I'm looking forward to newer stories, new people, and new reasons to facepalm.

If this was too short of a read for you, there's a second post! Go for it.

And as always, don't forget, who's awesome? You're awesome.
